Statistically, fifteen women are diagnosed with breast cancer every day. Silvia Fink is among those who faced the disease with invincible courage. “I knew I had to fight to see my daughter grow up,” says Styria. Today’s Pink Ribbon Month shows how we can all stand in solidarity.
Silvia Fink is 45 years old, lives near Gleisdorf, has an eight-year-old daughter and works in family law. Until a year and a half ago, the Styrian woman lived a life like so many others, but then the shock diagnosis came in February 2023: hormone-dependent breast cancer. “It was the worst week of my life,” says Fink, “I was terrified of the results of the tests.”
