A 71-year-old German had an accident on Wednesday when he left the Salzburger Spielbergalm on a quad bike in the direction of Fieberbrunn (Kitzbühel district). The man had to be taken to the Innsbruck clinic with serious head injuries.
Shortly after 12 noon, the 71-year-old drove the quad under the Burgeralm when the cause of the accident was still unclear. “The man crashed the vehicle about 40 meters and got stuck to a tree under the forest path,” police said.
Flown to the Innsbruck clinic
A colleague of the German, who had driven ahead with a quad, found the victim and started the rescue chain. The 71-year-old had to be flown to the Innsbruck clinic with serious head injuries after receiving first aid from emergency physician C4.
