Alcohol makes you tired. A heavily drunk Romanian (26) who lives in Enns also had to take note of this. The man was so tired that he fell asleep behind the wheel of his car with the engine running. No wonder, he had almost two per thousand.
Due to a complaint from a motorist, a police patrol drove to the L566 towards Sankt Florian at around 4 a.m. on Saturday. The officers soon discovered that there was a car parked on the side of the road with the engine running and the lights on. Half the car crossed into the road.
The police woke the man up
The driver, a 26-year-old Romanian national from Enns, had fallen asleep in the car. A subsequent alcohol test showed a value of 1.96 per mille, after which the alcohol test was refused. The man’s driver’s license was confiscated and he was banned from driving.
