Large-scale fire brigade operation on Sunday night in the Tyrolean lowlands: a farm caught fire in Söll in the Kufstein district. Neighbors were able to get all the animals to safety. A firefighter was injured while extinguishing the fire. The residents were apparently not at home when the fire broke out. The damage is enormous.
The fire broke out shortly after midnight, probably in the farm building. Attentive neighbors were able to save all the animals from the stable, a police spokesperson explained when asked by Krone.
No residents in the house
The flames then spread quickly. When the fire brigade arrived, the stable was already completely ablaze. The fire therefore spread to the roof of the house. “There were no residents in the home at the time,” the police spokesperson continues.
More than 150 emergency services
The fire brigades of Söll, Scheffau, Ellmau, Itter and Kufstein fought against the enormous inferno. In total, more than 150 emergency services were on site. Early in the morning there was still no “fire out”.
The utility wing burned down completely. A firefighter was injured during the extinguishing work, the spokesperson said. The cause of the fire is currently completely unclear. The police are investigating.
