The federal government’s renovation bonus is not understandable to everyone: some citizens receive the craft bonus despite the discount, others do not. Matching the invoice and transfer amounts apparently does not matter.
Numerous applicants have stumbled in submitting the documents for the craft bonus. The ‘Krone’ has already reported several times about house and apartment owners who have sunk their teeth into the federal government’s renovation financing campaign. In the end they had to pay the full amount for the work carried out.
This was also the case with Mr. P., whose case the “Krone” had already reported. To receive the bonus, the invoice had to be reissued and shown separately. The travel costs of the professionals and ultimately the discount deduction led to rejection.
Receive a discount despite the lack of a cash register discount
In the case of Markus W. (name known to the editors), the cash discount worked. The IT specialist has neatly listed all the invoices for the electrician and flooring work in his house. Even though the discount was not included on the invoice, he did receive the discount.
“After studying the financing rules, it became clear to me how to do that,” said the Salzburg resident. Ultimately, he received the bonus of almost 1,900 euros within a few days. But why did W. get the discount and Mr. P. and other things not? This remains open.
