Guests from the Burgenland district of Eisenstadt in Spain wanted to enjoy sunny days. But the confusion about flights got on their nerves: online check-in was not possible, the flight was cancelled.
The trouble started at home. Everything was fine with the Vienna-Málaga flight booked months ago, but the return trip with another low-cost airline was suddenly cancelled, but the cancellation by mobile message was withdrawn shortly after. “It was repeated twice. According to the information at Vienna airport, our reservation was valid,” the holidaymakers report.
Flight home cancelled
The rough awakening followed for the return journey. “The online check-in via mobile phone did not work. According to the text message, our flight home has been cancelled,” said the tourists. Grotesque: The tickets paid for the “cancelled” flight were no longer valid, but new tickets for the exact same machine could be purchased simultaneously via the Internet.
“We did that spontaneously to get home at all, including extra costs of 130 euros per person,” said those affected, annoyed. But that is not everything. “The departure was pushed back further and further, after hours we lost patience.”
Long queue
Bizarre: The last text message about a delayed departure was received by the passengers when they landed in Vienna well after midnight. “If you have any problems, contact the airline!” Customers see this offer as a mockery: “After being on hold for almost an hour, we gave up.”
