Raced through Dornbirn – drug driver rammed into three police cars while escaping

It all started on Thursday at 11:33 PM on the A14 Rheintalautobahn: a civilian patrol noticed a car’s distinctive driving style. It was later found that the driver did not have a driver’s license. The officials drew attention with flashing lights and wanted to stop the car after the Dornbirn Süd driveway. But in vain, instead of stopping, the 23-year-old driver hit the accelerator and raced towards the town of Dornbirn.

In the crossing area Raiffeisenstraße-Bahnstraße, the patrol caught up with the man, but he brutally rammed the service vehicle at the same height as the vehicle to continue his escape, which was initially successful.

No pretense, but drugs included
In the Wallenmahd area, the 23-year-old was then surrounded by several police cars at a traffic light, but the driver still did not stop, but decided to drive head-on into the traffic light and also ram two police cars out of the way to get rid of police brutality to come. Only after the getaway car was wedged in by two service vehicles, the crazy ride was stopped after seven kilometers. The director has arrested the driver. He and his 21-year-old passenger were in possession of cannabis and cocaine.

Drug possession charge
No one was injured in the chase, but there was considerable material damage. The 23-year-old driver is reported for endangering physical safety and resisting state authority, as well as numerous traffic violations. Both persons have also been registered under the Narcotics Act.
