It was early this year when a stranger was hanging out in the Wienerberg recreation area and allegedly attacked three women and touched their genitals. Since then, the victims have had to live with the fact that the perpetrator is still at large. But that’s about to change with a published photo from a surveillance camera!
The gruesome attacks in Vienna-Favoriten are said to have taken place between January 29 and February 13. The three women, aged 25, 27 and 39, were allegedly touched in their genitals and dragged off the sidewalk into a hidden area.
There the man allegedly tried to perform sexual acts with the women. In two cases there would be a knife.
As early as February, the executive branch assumed it was a serial perpetrator. The area around the Wienerberg was increasingly controlled by civilian and uniformed forces.
A mugshot published by the police should now provide more clues. Information (also anonymous) can be requested from the Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department on 01-31310 ext.
