The annual CPI rose in October to 2.3% in the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV) and 1.8% in Navarra, due to the increase in the costs of electricity, gas and fuels.
According to data published on Thursday by the National Statistical Institute (INE), the year-on-year rate October was respectively five-tenths above the interannual rate recorded in September in the BAC (1.8%) and seven-tenths higher in Navarra (1.1%).
In monthly installments (from September to October), the consumer price index (CPI) increased by six-tenths of a percent in the BAG and by one point in Navarra.
So far this yearprices in the BAC increased by 2.8% and in Navarra by 2.2%.
