Now there is an international arrest warrant: the alleged head of the ‘dog factory’ in Hungary who escaped from hospital – the ‘Krone’ reports – is wanted for animal cruelty. Hundreds of animals were bred under unspeakable conditions on the Austrian’s horror farm.
After a Hungarian ‘propagation station’ was discovered near the Austrian border on Wednesday, animal lovers took action. Because behind the lucrative trade in four-legged friends there often lies a system of exploitation, crime and endless animal suffering.
Austrian woman is on the run
An Austrian woman is now wanted by Hungarian authorities for animal cruelty on an international arrest warrant. The woman is said to have run two animal breeding stations in the Hungarian towns of Csönge and Csapod, near the border. Here the animals were kept in an “indescribable hell”, Hungarian animal rights activist Zsuzsanna Agg emphasized to Hungarian media.
The online portal “hellovidek.hu” wrote on Sunday about the escape of an “Austrian animal executioner”. Animal rights activists, together with employees of the responsible authorities, reportedly rescued more than a hundred dogs, fifty sheep and goats and four horses from their predicament during a raid on the farms.
Further deployment planned for Monday
The animals were therefore malnourished and were in good health. Some burnt horse and dog carcasses were also found. According to Agg, another operation will take place on Monday.
