Painful death – mother puts sons in the oven: life sentence

Date:

A Georgia mother murdered her sons in an unimaginable way: she put them both in the oven and turned it on. Now Lamora Williams is on trial: she must spend a lifetime behind bars.

The horrific act took place in October 2017. Williams was 24 years old when she murdered her sons Ke-Yaunte Penn, 2, and Ja’Karter Penn, 1. A third boy, then three years old, was found unharmed in the apartment.

Mother wanted to blame the caregiver
Williams claimed a caregiver was alone with the boys at the time of death and protested her innocence. But investigators discovered that the mother had put the boys in the oven herself.

A jury now found the young woman guilty; She was charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault, child abuse, covering up the death of another and making a false statement. The punishment was severe. She was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, plus an additional 35 years.

The child’s father saw dead sons in a video call
After the crime, Williams herself called 911. She had just returned from work when she discovered the lifeless bodies of her sons. She then called the children’s father. “She called me on video and I saw it. “I really believe they’re dead,” Jameel Penn told police afterward. In an interview with a TV station, he described the scene “like a real horror movie.”

The autopsy report stated that the boys had to be exposed to the heat of the oven for an extended period of time. Williams is said to have suffered from psychological problems for a long time.
