In addition, Israeli drones destroyed Kamal Adwan Hospital’s electrical generator, water tank and oxygen tanks. More than 3,600 people have already died in Lebanon.
At least 25 Palestinians, including six minors, have been killed in Gaza in Israel’s latest attacks, including seven members of the same family in the Gaza Strip capital, according to medical sources in the enclave.
This is the Shaldan family with seven victims, including three children, who died when an Israeli bombardment destroyed the family home in the Zaytun neighborhood of Gaza City, in the northern part of the enclave.
In the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Strip, six members of the Abu Sabla family, including three minors, were killed in an attack on their three-story home; while another Gazan was killed in another Israeli bombing of another house in the same city.
Medical sources also reported attacks on an apartment in the Nuseirat refugee camp, in the center of the Strip, that killed four people, in addition to a fire that injured several people.
At least 38 Palestinians were killed across the Strip yesterday as a result of Israeli attacks that continue to hit the northern part of the enclave, where Israel launched a renewed offensive more than 40 days ago, mainly in the towns of Jabalia and Beit Lahia. Since then, 2,300 people have been killed and more than 6,000 injured.
Hospital attacked
There, the Kamal Adwan Hospital was attacked again after an Israeli drone yesterday destroyed the electrical generator, water tank and oxygen tanks of the center, which still houses 80 patients.
“There seems to be no limit to the atrocities inflicted on the Palestinians in Gaza. For more than forty days, the people of the north have been under siege: surrounded, bombed, deprived of basic means of survival and forced to flee under threats.” has denounced the head of the OCHA (UN Office for Humanitarian Affairs) office for Palestine, Jonathan Whittal.
“The result? People lie under the rubble without being rescued. The sick and injured cannot reach the hospitals. The drinking water and food have run out. Lives have been lost,” he said.
In nearly fourteen months of war, Gaza’s Health Ministry has left 44,056 dead and 104,268 injured, while 11,000 remain missing under the rubble.
3,600 dead in Lebanon
Lebanon’s Ministry of Health reported last Friday that at least 3,645 people have been killed and another 15,355 injured, victims of attacks carried out over the past year by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) as part of its offensive against the Shia militia party Hezbollah.
According to Lebanese health authorities, 62 deaths and more than 110 injuries were reported in the past 24 hours alone. Most of the casualties occurred on the last day in the Baalbek-Hermel governorate in the northeast of the country, where at least 49 people were killed and another 54 were injured.
On the other hand, the Lebanese Ministry of Health has specified that of the total number of deaths, at least 2,530 are men, another almost 700 are women and more than 230 are children.
