After two young Carinthians looted a supermarket at the train station, a motive for the robbery is now clear. The suspects are currently in custody.
It all came to an end: In order to organize their lives differently, a man from Völkermarkt (21) and a man from Klagenfurt (20) decided to organize the money from a robbery. Armed with a gas pistol and towels over their heads, the two entered the supermarket at Klagenfurt Central Station. They apologized to the shocked cashier and fled with their loot. Police detained the suspects in an emergency manhunt.
The weapon was found in a garbage can near the crime scene. Some of the loot, however, remains untraceable. Meanwhile, the two, one of whom is officially known, are said to have confessed to the crime. Their motive for the robbery, filmed by witnesses: They needed money to fund a fresh start. Now they are in custody.
