“Oreshnik” missile – Kiev: Moscow’s threats are “typical blackmail”

Date:

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha has commented on the new Russian medium-range missile “Oreshnik” and threats from Moscow of further attacks. He sees this as “typical blackmail” from the Kremlin.

Ruler Vladimir Putin is trying to dissuade everyone from supporting Kiev, Sybiha wrote on the platform “Be able to intercept missiles.”

Thursday shelling
Russia fired a new medium-range ballistic missile at Ukraine on Thursday. According to Russian information, an arms factory in Dnipro was attacked. Moscow has also deliberately used the missile launch to deter the West. This must be prevented in order to continue supporting Ukraine, which is under attack by Russia – especially with long-range missiles fired at military objects on Russian territory.

Series production announced
Shortly afterwards, Putin announced the series production of the new missile. The rocket, known as Oreschnik (German: nut bush), is unique in the world. According to Moscow, the missile will fly at hypersonic speeds and be inaccessible to anti-aircraft systems. This information could not initially be independently confirmed.
