Fire alarm on Tuesday evening in the Tyrolean lowlands: a residential building in Jenbach in the Schwaz district burst into flames. Fortunately, the residents were able to get to safety in time. No one was injured. The cause is still completely unclear.
The alarm was raised around 1:15 am. “Fire from an apartment building on a balcony” was the text sent by the Tyrol control center. “When emergency services arrived on the scene, the building was already on fire,” police said.
All residents safe
A blessing in disguise: all residents who were in the house when the fire broke out were able to get out to safety in time. “No one was injured,” investigators said.
Investigation into the cause of the fire
About 30 emergency services from the Jenbach Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene with six vehicles. They fought the flames and eventually managed to get the situation under control and extinguish the fire. The cause is still unclear. The police are investigating.
