On Tuesday evening, a car that had been loaded onto a truck for transport burned out on the A9, the Phyrnautobahn, near Peggau-Deutschfeistritz. First responders contained the fire until the Deutschfeistritz and Friesach-Wörth fire brigades arrived. As soon as the fire brigade – also from Peggau – arrived on site, the fire was extinguished quickly and effectively.
A shuttle service had to be set up to supply water to the firefighting attack. According to police, traffic returned to normal by 8 p.m.
