Chechen ruler Ramzan Kadyrov boasted this summer about a special “gift” he claimed to have received from the US: a Tesla Cybertruck. The president claimed at the time that he received this “personally from Elon Musk,” who appeared in a video driving the heavily armored vehicle around the capital Grozny and also showing off the machine gun mounted on the roof. But now Kadyrov has admitted: everything was a big lie!
When asked about the ‘Tesla tank’, the president confessed Tesla’s big lie to the Russian news portal ‘Meduza’: ‘I am interested in Elon Musk himself, I like his character, his lifestyle, the way he behaves and his worldview. He didn’t give me the car, it wasn’t mine – I made that joke up and ran with it.”
Musk: “Are you really that retarded?”
Musk himself had previously commented on the issue and denied sending gifts to Chechnya. The tech billionaire insulted a columnist on the short message platform This is great.”
Moments later, Kadyrov complained that his Cybertruck had been disabled ‘remotely’. Nevertheless, he ordered two more models and sent them to the Ukrainian front. That too could have been a lie. Putin’s governor in Chechnya now told ‘Meduza’ that only one cyber truck had been used in the war, but it turned out to be ‘useless’.
