Emergency services had to respond to a serious traffic accident on the highway between St. Veit and Klagenfurt on Friday afternoon. One person was fatally injured in the accident.
It is still completely unclear how the accident on the Klagenfurt highway could have happened. What is certain is that the accident involved a car and a truck. “One person died in the accident,” the press service of the Carinthian State Police Directorate confirmed to the “Krone”.
Accident causes traffic jam
Immediately after the accident, the highway between Klagenfurt and St. Veit was closed to all traffic. It is not yet possible to say how long the ban will last. The police arranged a diversion via Zollfeldstrasse.
In addition to the police, several fire brigades from the area are also present.
