Two alcoholic drivers did not give the police any rest on Sunday evening. A 36-year-old drove off the road and crashed into a tree, seriously injuring him. While overtaking, a 44-year-old first drove into oncoming traffic, then sped away from police and crashed into the back of another car.
A dark limousine had cut him off – as a 36-year-old from Grieskirchen explained that he had run off the road. At the beginning of the Schallerbacher Berg on the B 137 towards Wels he crashed into a tree, was thrown back onto the road and lay there on the roof.
Cut from the wreckage
The man from Grieskirchen had to be cut from his deformed vehicle and was taken to Wels Hospital after emergency medical treatment with serious injuries. An alcohol test carried out there revealed a suspected cause of the accident: the 36-year-old had more than one per mille of alcohol in his blood.
Side mirror destroyed
A 44-year-old from Aigen im Mühlkreis drove even more wildly on the B 38 from Oepping towards Rohrbach around 9:35 p.m. In the area of Oepping she hit the oncoming car, driven by a 64-year-old from the Rohrbach district, breaking both exterior mirrors.
I just kept driving
However, she didn’t think about stopping for the time being and just kept driving. A 44-year-old woman driving behind her immediately called the police. When the woman from Aign stopped at the gas station on the roundabout in Rohrbach, officers tried to control her, but the 44-year-old accelerated and sped away from the police towards Oepping at a speed of 160 km/h.
Second accident not far from the first
Not far from the spot where she had collided with oncoming traffic, the 44-year-old crashed at high speed into the back of a 26-year-old from the Rohrbach district who was driving in front of her. She was injured in the collision and was taken to Rohrbach Hospital. The 44-year-old from Aigner was also injured; an alcohol test on her showed a blood alcohol level of 2.02.
