At six in the morning, a rootstock weighing several hundred kilos came loose from a slope and broke through the bedroom wall of a residential building on Frankenmarkt. The residents were surprised while they were sleeping. Although the force pushed the bed away from the wall, fortunately there was only minor injury.
The operations manager called the Vöcklabruck fire brigade with a crane truck to remove the rootstock. The B1 was closed alternately during the security work. There was a major traffic jam in the early morning traffic.
The Raspoldsedt and Wilding-Mühlberg fire brigades were then alerted with drones to support early morning traffic control and investigate the situation, FF Frankenmarkt reported.
The ceiling had to be supported
After the rootstock was removed, the debris was cleared, the ceiling was supported, and the wall was temporarily sealed. The operation ended around 9:00 am.
