Siemens Gamesa reduces the impact of the ERTE from 430 to 255 employees

Siemens Gamesa has reduced the impact of the ERE from 430 to 255 employees in the Spanish state. As reported by Radio Euskadi, management passed this on to the union representation at the negotiating table prior to the ERE.

The company has reduced the impact of the layoff plan that it plans to implement in its centers throughout the Spanish state, including the offices of Zamudio and Sarriguren. Instead of 430, as initially planned, there will be 255.

This was communicated by management at the negotiating table prior to the implementation of this ERE, which will be activated on January 9. A period of one month will then be opened to further negotiate the terms of the layoffs and possible redeployment of those affected.

This EUA is part of an adjustment plan through which the multinational aims to remedy its poor financial situation, which also includes: also an ERTEtemporary file, for 220 employees from another division, Asteasu and Zamudiowhich will apply in the next year and a half. The meetings of both factories ratified it this afternoon.

At Hego Euskal Herria, Siemens Gamesa almost has a workforce 3000 people in their plants Zamudio, Mungia, Asteasu, Sarriguren and Arazuri.
