A young duo’s tractor ride in Upper Austria ended in a serious accident. The 16-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle, which weighed several tons, and left the road. Her boyfriend had to watch as she was seriously injured and trapped under the tractor.
A serious traffic accident involving a tractor occurred on Sunday around 10:20 p.m. A 16-year-old was driving her father’s tractor on the Hochkuchler municipal road towards Lohnsburg. In a sharp left turn she skidded and left the road to the right.
Only freed by the fire brigade
The tractor overturned and landed on its roof against a tree. The 16-year-old was seriously injured and trapped in the driver’s cabin. Her 22-year-old passenger from the Ried district was slightly injured, but was able to free herself from the wreckage. He had to watch while his seriously injured girlfriend could only be freed by the alerted fire brigade.
The young driver was taken to the hospital in Ried by the emergency doctor. Her friend was taken to hospital in Braunau for treatment.
