– Discounts on public transport: The Basque Transport Authority (ATE) has agreed to introduce free travel for children up to 12 years old and extend the 50% discounts on public transport. The measures will be gradually implemented between the first weeks of January and the beginning of February 2025.
– Olentzero and Mari Domingi: Villages and towns throughout the Basque Country are organizing the parades of Olentzero and Mari Domingi today. They arrive in Donostia via the Urumea River at noon; In Vitoria-Gasteiz, from 6 p.m., the Haizearen Lorategia show takes place, filling the streets with magic and Basque mythology; and in Pamplona the parade will depart from the School of Arts and Crafts at 6pm and pass through the main streets of the city.
