Another paraglider accident has happened: this time a 24-year-old man was seriously injured in the back after crashing into the Stoderzinken area (Styria).
On Monday around 3:15 pm, an Upper Austrian from the district of Ried im Innkreis took off with his paraglider from the Stoderzinken in the Dachstein Mountains towards the valley. Due to the prevailing wind conditions, the paraglider suffered a “front collapse”, making it uncontrollable for the pilot.

The man was rescued with a rope by the crew of the Christophorus 14 rescue helicopter and then taken to Schladming Hospital.
He suffered undisclosed injuries to his back.
