As coaching legend Arsene Wenger’s right-hand man, Willi Ruttensteiner will lead the development of 75 academies in developing countries for FIFA. The “High Performance Specialist” previously worked for 18 years as sports director of ÖFB and four years as sports director and coach of the Israeli national team.

As the right-hand man of coaching legend Arsene Wenger, Willi Ruttensteiner from Wolfern will support the establishment of 75 academies, mainly in developing countries, on behalf of the world football association FIFA by the end of 2027. The man with the designation ‘High Performance Specialist’ previously worked for a decade and a half as sports director of the ÖFB and four years as sports director and coach of the Israeli national team.
