It was shortly after 2 p.m. when the fire broke out in the sauna room of the public indoor swimming pool in Innsbruck. “The fire probably started near the heated sauna heater and set the ceiling of the cabin on fire,” police said.
Fire quickly under control
The professional fire brigade of Innsbruck was notified. They arrived on site with three vehicles and quickly brought the fire under control. However, due to the fire, the entire sauna area had to be evacuated. According to police, no one was injured. It is not yet clear how extensive the material damage is.
