A kitten in Melk didn’t have to wait long to be rescued: the four-legged friend was stuck in the engine compartment of a car. Fortunately: in the showroom of a car dealer!
Curiosity literally means the death of cats – but a domestic cat’s odyssey recently had a much happier ending in Melk. It is not uncommon for velvet paws to hide in cars while exploring.
But this wasn’t just any car, but a new car in a car dealer’s showroom. It was thanks to an observant customer that the animal was saved: he heard the pathetic meowing from the engine compartment of an exhibit and immediately raised the alarm.
Immediate investigation by staff led to the cause of the moaning – and the furry friend in need didn’t have to wait long for help. Service advisor Georg Fleischhacker, together with his bosses David Graf and Paul Fischer, managed to free the animal from the ‘innards’ of the Skoda with a few skillful movements. There were immediately some treats ready to calm the completely frightened four-legged friend.
However, it is unknown how the cat ended up in the car dealer’s showroom and who the animal visitor actually belongs to. “The most important thing, however, is that the animal is in good health,” said the employees of the Senker company after the early New Year’s miracle.
