In Möllersdorf in the Baden district (Lower Austria), a pensioner was dragged into a car and assaulted. Victim advocate Raimund Schüller describes her martyrdom at the “Krone”. The perpetrators are being held in Wiener Neustadt prison.
“If you say anything, I will find you!” She can still hear her tormentor’s words in her ears today. The ordeal that a retiree had to endure still haunts her to this day. It was the first weekend of Advent when – as reported – two men in a car ambushed the 76-year-old on a dirt road in Möllersdorf in the Baden district, followed him and then dragged him into the car.
“She initially walked past the car. Because there are often vehicles from surrounding farmers there, she didn’t think anything of it. Then she noticed that someone was walking behind her,” says lawyer Raimund Schüller, describing the first minutes of the attack. He represents the victim from the Baden district.
The woman was forced into the vehicle by one of the two attackers and forced to perform oral sex, while the other held her down. A perpetrator then undressed and lay on top of her. The pensioner shouted loudly for help. Passersby heard their desperate cries. One perpetrator initially covered her mouth, but then let go. When he noticed the blue light, he quickly dressed and fled from the alerted police patrol. “That was their luck, so even worse things could be prevented,” says Schüller in an interview with the “Krone”.

The victim then fled from the car in panic and ran away. The other tormentor then drove the vehicle straight towards her. “If she had not jumped away, he would have caught her,” the lawyer from Vienna is certain. Fearing her death, the pensioner hid in a stream bed. “She was shaking for her life,” says Schüller.

The perpetrators were arrested during a manhunt and are now being held in Wiener Neustadt prison. The Bosnian and his accomplice from Croatia (21 and 29 years old) are said to have been under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
However, the victim’s psychological wounds are far from healed. The woman has suffered enormous trauma since the rape. As soon as she walks down the street, she feels followed. “We hope for a conviction with an unconditional sentence – also as a deterrent example,” Schüller said. Charges of rape, sexual assault and coercion are still pending.
