After a top autumn, including a second place, Austria will start preparations on the field on Saturday morning. Captain Manfred Fischer has recovered well, has had a holiday in the Maldives and South Tyrol and is still hungry for success with his violets. But the 29-year-old doesn’t want to know anything about the title (yet).
“Krone”: Manfred, on Saturday morning (10.30 am) you will start your preparation again with the first grass training. Did you enjoy the break?
Manfred Fischer: Absolute! I spent New Year’s Eve with my parents-in-law. I honeymooned in the Maldives with my wife Sarah, it was fantastic. We went fishing, snorkeling and went to the jet ski. We also went to Brixen in South Tyrol to relax (sauna, cold swimming pool). The atmosphere was great and I proposed to Sarah there.
