The Treasury Department is calling on FinanzOnline users to check and update their account information so they can “quickly” take advantage of the federal government’s anti-inflationary measures. Those who do not yet have access can do so, the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
Last week, the federal government presented the third anti-inflation package totaling 28 billion euros. Six billion of this should end up in Austrians’ accounts this year in the form of increased child benefits and an anti-inflation and climate bonus.
The Ministry of Finance called on the 5.5 million FinanzOnline users to check their data, so that people could take advantage of the measures ‘quickly’. They are currently being asked via the portal and by email to update their account details (in the “Basic data” area) by 15 July at the latest, in order to include the climate bonus “directly” credited to their account from October.
Anyone who does not yet have access to FinanzOnline can register “quickly and securely” with a mobile phone signature or request access data by post. Those who already receive regular payments from the state into their account can ignore the letter. “The money will be transferred as usual,” it said.
