The proposal was also supported by Venezuelan opposition leader and former leader of the Voluntad Popular party, Leopoldo Lópeznow exiled to Spain.
“After going through all avenues, including winning the election with 70% of the votes, this proposal should be seriously considered. I dare say that the vast majority of Venezuelans agree with this,” López said in his report in X in response to Uribe’s statements.
