Uribe calls for international intervention in Venezuela to ‘oust’ Maduro from power

Maduro, for his part, has criticized Uribe as a “coward” and as a “paramilitary and drug trafficker” for advocating an international military intervention in Venezuela and has called on him to put himself “in front” of that intervention.

The former president of Colombia Alvaro Uribe has the need for one international intervention in Venezuela to ‘oust’ Nicolás Maduro from power and hold ‘free’ elections.

“We call for international intervention, preferably supported by the United Nations, to remove these tyrants from power and immediately call for action. free electionsUribe said at an event in Cúcuta, near the border with Venezuela, in support of Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado.

The proposal was also supported by Venezuelan opposition leader and former leader of the Voluntad Popular party, Leopoldo Lópeznow exiled to Spain.

“After going through all avenues, including winning the election with 70% of the votes, this proposal should be seriously considered. I dare say that the vast majority of Venezuelans agree with this,” López said in his report in X in response to Uribe’s statements.
