He also pointed out that, in line with the European Union’s energy and climate objectives for the year 2030 and the Basque Energy Strategy, energy projects “must avoid degrading soils of high agricultural value.”

The area that will be built on is located in an area whose agricultural lands are classified as “High strategic value”in an area “of suspected archaeology”.
