Aena reported that domestic passenger numbers grew by 3.4% to 3,914,851 passengers, while international passengers increased by 12.3%, reaching 2,850,827 users.
Air operations also record increasing numbers with 52,538 landings and take-offs, 2.1% more than the previous year.
For its part, Hondarribia Airport has closed 2024 474,140 passengerswhich represents a decrease of 1.8% compared to the previous year.
Landing and take-off operations amounted to 6,015 movements throughout the year, which is 2.3% less than in 2023, as highlighted by AENA.
Vitoria Airport ended 2024 with two declines 15% of the number of passengerswhich remained at 263,328 passengers, and 1.7% of the cargo volume carried, with a displacement of 70,490 tons.
Despite the reduction in cargo volume, Foronda remained the fourth Spanish airport with the highest cargo volume, after Madrid, Barcelona and Zaragoza, according to data published by Aena.
