Future first lady Melania Trump has indicated that she mainly wants to live in the White House in Washington in the future. “My first priority will be his mother, being first lady and being a wife,” the 54-year-old said Monday.
“I’ll be in the White House. If I have to be in New York, I will be in New York, if I have to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach,” Melania Trump continued. Their son Barron is currently studying in New York and will be visiting.
During her husband Donald Trump’s first term as US president (2017-2021), Melania caused irritation because she did not initially move with him to the address 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, but stayed in New York.

The Trump couple currently spends a lot of time at their apartment in Trump Tower in Manhattan and at the luxury Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida. “Maybe some people see me only as the president’s wife, but I stand on my own two feet, I am independent,” Melania Trump said in an interview.
She says she plans to restart her “Be Best” campaign to support children. She will also have a film coming out after she releases her memoir ‘Melania’ in October (see video above).
“Sometimes he doesn’t listen to me.”
She does not always agree with what her husband says and gives him her advice. Sometimes he listens to it, sometimes not. “And that’s okay.”
During the last election campaign, Melania Trump did not often appear at her husband’s side. She stayed out of the public eye when he was tried in New York for paying hush money to a former porn actress.
The 54-year-old met Donald Trump in New York in 1998. At that time, Melania Knauss, born in 1970 in Slovenia, had already been successful as a model in the US for several years. They married in 2005 and their son Barron was born a year later.
