The Islamic State has published ten possible attack targets at mass events. These include the Vienna Opera Ball and Munich Oktoberfest. On Wednesday, Vienna police announced that the entire ball season had been targeted by terrorists.
Islamic State shocks with a new call for attacks. Mentioned destinations include the Oktoberfest in Munich, the Carnival in Venice, the Film Festival in Cannes and the Opera Ball in Vienna.
The terrorist threat was made public a few days ago on the platform of the dangerous IS branch ISPK (Islamic State in Khorasan Province) “Al Azaim Media”. He is responsible, among other things, for the bloody attack on the Moscow music hall ‘Crocus City Hall’, which left more than 140 people dead almost ten months ago.
A car or a knife is enough
“The conflict with Israel continues to cause a high level of mobilization among Islamists. Moreover, recent attacks have shown that a car or a knife is sufficient. Potential murderers also see this,” a state security official explained to the Bild newspaper.
Terror cell disguised as Ukrainian refugees
The ISPK is particularly treacherous: it infiltrated a terrorist cell disguised as Ukrainian refugees. Fortunately, security authorities were able to foil the attack plans. Islamist attackers are said to have attacked St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna and the Cologne Cathedral on Christmas and New Year’s Eve a year ago.
I wanted to cut off the heads of “infidels”!
Seven dangerous Islamists are now in the highly secured ‘terror bunker’ of the Oberlandesgericht Düsseldorf and awaiting trial. You are accused of founding and being a member of a domestic terrorist organization. According to the Federal Criminal Police investigation, they had to carry out high-profile attacks in Germany and Western Europe to further the objectives of the ‘Islamic State’.” It was even considered to cut off the head of an ‘infidel’.
“We are in a dilemma, of course we do not want to create panic, but we must give fair warning because the risk of a terrorist attack remains as high,” a state security official explains. “Unfortunately, you have to say that after the recent attacks the likelihood has increased even further,” he admits.
