According to a media report, after the introduction of deposits for disposable bottles, a change is also coming for classic beer bottles. After more than 40 years without an increase, the deposit will rise from the current 9 cents to 20 cents – more than doubling, reports “Der Standard”. An official confirmation is still pending, the increase is expected in February.
The value of the bottles increases overnight
The value of bottles already stored with a 9 cent deposit increases almost overnight, for which you will later receive 20 cents. This makes the sector nervous, the report says. Incentive for more recycling
