Mexico’s Foreign Ministry assured on Friday that it is ready to cooperate in the field of migration to accept repatriations and “the arrival of Mexicans with open arms”, after the President of the United States, Donald Trump, tightened immigration policy had promised.
“When it comes to repatriations, we will always welcome with open arms the arrival of Mexican men and women to our territory. Mexico embraces you,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a publication on the social network X.
In this sense, he has defended that “Mexico has a very good relationship with the United States government,” so they will cooperate “with regard to” “sovereignties” and “on a wide range of issues, including migration.”
These statements come after the White House confirmed the takeoff of the first flights carrying deported migrants since the tycoon came to power, who has pledged to tighten immigration policies to end what he has described as a ” invasion’.
