35 seizures – “Record speed runner” in Tirol was 107 km/h too fast

Date:

Where speeding offers come from, what gender they are and how old they are: last year’s current traffic statistics offer many interesting details – including about vehicle inspections and e -scooters.

Last year 32 motorists were killed on the roads in Tyrol, the “Krone” reported. The traffic register of the police offers even more interesting details that we do not want to remember our readers.

35 vehicles too fast -moving
For example, a total of 35 vehicles were seized. What is particularly striking is that there is only one woman among the speed offenders who had to give up their car or motorcycle. All other speed offenders were men. 21 of the Speedsters came from Germany, the rest from countries such as Germany, Italy, Iran, Morocco and Turkey.

One Speeder even came from Russia. “The maximum measured speed was 204 km/h, with a permitted speed of 110 km/h on the highway,” say the statistics. However, the highest speed limit was 107 km/h. On a provincial road where a 70 would be allowed, a driver drove at a speed of 177 km/h.

Eight vehicles were seized on the highway and the remaining 27 on other roads. 14 attacks took place at night and 21 during the day. The youngest Speeder was 17 years old, the oldest 68.

E-scooters: only 17 percent wear a helmet
Another interesting detail about the total of 4,781 seriously injured and 32 fatalities is also interesting. 127 of the wounded traveled on an e-scooter and one driver of the e-scooter died in an accident.

According to statistics, 75 percent of the accidents with e-scooters were due to their own negligence. “The average speed was 18 km/h.” Two percent of e-scooter drivers do not give a hand gesture or flash. Shocking: only 17 percent wear a helmet.
