Big stakes in the Lech Valley – After Avalanche: Hurt Safe

Avalanche Alert on Monday morning in the Tyroolean Lechtal: In the Kaisertal in the Lechtal Alps there was a major search operation with several helicopters and mountain rescues after an avalanche. A touring -gauger had been buried. The person has now been released – but nothing is known about their condition at this time.

Shortly before 11 a.m. the message from the Tyrol Control Center went out. As the “crown” could quickly discover, the Avalanche exit would have taken place in the area between Kaiseralpe and the tip of 2889 meter high vordersees in the Lechttal Alps near Kaisers (in the Kaisertal).

One person was spilled
Several helicopters – the police helicopter Dragonfly and the medical emergency helicopter Robin3 and Christophorus 5 – as well as the Elbigenalp, Holzgau and Steeg/Kaisers mountain rescuers and dog handlers were alerted or used. A touring -gauger had been buried.

Shortly after 12 o’clock the “crown” found out that the person could be found and recovered. However, nothing is known about the condition.

As the Tyrol Control Center explained to the question of “Krone”, an eyewitness reported the avalanche.

Moderate avalanche danger
More details are not known at the moment. This area is currently in Avalanche Alert Level 2 (moderate).
