The terrible accident happened around 7.30 am. As a researcher explained to the “Krone”, the 36-year-old Austrian drove a company van on the B171 in the Telfer Allee area. For unknown reasons, the man suddenly left the road and bumped head -on against a tree.
Admitted to the hospital trauma room
The worker suffered serious injuries. After a first treatment at the location of the accident, he was flown by emergency helicopter to the clinic in Innsbruck and taken to the shock room.
The B171 had to be closed in this area during the operation and clean-up work. In addition to the police, rescue and emergency doctor, the voluntary fire brigade of Telfs was also present.
