“Freedom of expression” – Elon Musk – candidate at the Nobel Prize for Peace

Date:

An EU parliamentarian wants the American technical billionaire Elon Musk to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his dedication to freedom of expression and has nominated it quickly.

As soon as the rumor had spread on the net, the discussions exploded. But now there is certainty: Branko Grims, a conservative EU member from Slovenia, officially confirmed that he has nominated muscles. Are reason? “Nobody has done more for freedom of expression than he does!”

But what is really behind it? Grim’s PEIST Musk’s fight against censorship, his takeover of the short messages from the short messages X (formerly Twitter) and even Trump’s RE election as “blessing for Western civilization”.

Musk already among the nominees
A daring thesis! The competition for the coveted price is traditionally strong. In 2024 there were a total of 286 candidates, including Musk – but without success.

Whether the opportunities are better this year will be shown. The committee will decide in the fall, the Awardceremony will increase in December. However, a look at earlier winners shows that the prize often went to personalities that have campaigned for diplomatic solutions, human rights and worldwide understanding. In 2023 it was the Iranian human rights activist Narges Mohammadi, in 2024 the Japanese organization Nihon Hidankyo for efforts for a world without nuclear weapons
