Numerous names were recently traded at the rumor fair – but no one had him on the bill: Johannes Freitag will support the new Styrian Auxiliary Bishop, Diocesan Bishop Wilhelm Krautwaschl in the future in his daily work. The Pope’s decision was officially communicated in Bulletin’s Vatican of the afternoon.
Johannes Freitag was born in Knittelfeld in 1972 and received a consecration in the Graz Cathedral in 2000. Since 2023, the popular spiritual and theologian functions as head of the Oberian pastoral area in Eisenstrasse – in Trofaiach, Eisherz and Voornernberg – and is also a military pastor.
