The Zwettlmühle sawmill has been in St. Oswald since 1887 near Haslach (Upper Austria). But nothing is as it was since last year. The young sawmill owner Sebastian Neidhart died in an accident at work. Now the family is looking for a tenant who continues his work.

About five months after the tragic loss, the sawmill, which has been in the hands since 1887, does not want to give up. Sebastian’s brother Alexander works in a different area if the sawmill does not want to take over.

Brother cannot do it
“It is a sensitive subject, I work in the community. My brother was interested in it, he modernized and rebuilt everything. And my parents are about to retire. That is why the question is that someone from the family will continue, “explains Alexander Neidhart.

Give work a future
And the decision is certain: “It would be best for us if we found a tenant for the Zwettlmühle and hope that there could be a future for the sawmill. This is how the traditional company should continue, “said Alexander.
