Mixnitz train station – Europe’s cultural heritage – but the train station threatens the demolition

In the styric Mixnitz, the preparatory work for an expansion of ÖBB-Baan to begin with the end of the historic station building has been sealed. What the cultural assistants hope: the train station from Kaiser’s time is now mentioned as one of the most dangerous cultural heritage sites in Europe.

For the ancient Mixnitz Bärenschützklamm station Building, the train seems to have left: as the “Krone” reported several times, the historic building jewel from Kaiser’s time threatens the demolition lamp. Because the railway line has to be moved in the course of the coral space and ÖBB also wants to invest more than 50 million euros in various modernization measures on site. To meet the prescribed safety distances during the expansion of the Mixnitzbaan, the train station, which was built in 1844, has to make way.
