A German motorcyclist (56) had a fatal accident on Monday around 11:40 am in the Tyrolean municipality of Häselgehr. During an evasive maneuver, he crashed into the back of a truck, fell and was hit by an oncoming car.
A tragedy took place in Häselgehr on Monday morning. A German motorcyclist (56) was riding a motorcycle on the B198 Lechtalstraße coming from Häselgehr towards Elbigenalp when the accident happened. A German motorist traveling in the same direction wanted to turn left into a parking lot and slowed down. Witnesses say the motorcyclist saw the slowing vehicle, swerved to the left and crashed into the left rear of a van in front of him.

The man fell and was hit by an oncoming car. The following road users immediately provided first aid, as did the emergency doctor and the rescue helicopter team. But due to the seriousness of the injuries, all help came too late and the man died at the scene of the accident.
