Incident on the 12th floor – Various deaths in gas explosion in the luxury department store

At least four people died in a gas explosion in a luxury department store in the East Asian island of Republic of Taiwan. According to the fire brigade, 24 other people were sustained in the city of Taichung.

As the authority continued, the gas explosion took place on the twelfth floor, which was probably temporarily closed due to construction work. The investigation was still the exact cause of the accident.

Video -recordings were seen how a considerable amount of façade and components from the upper floors were thrown through the power of the explosion. They fell on the sidewalk and the street. Photos in local media showed broken walls and a partially folded blanket in the interior of the department store.

Luminating parts met family
Mayor Lu Shiow-Yen said that various employees, employees and customers had been taken to different hospitals for treatment. According to Lu, falling parts a family of seven traveling near the department store. The grandparents died. A two -year -old girl is in a critical condition. The rest of the family suffered minor injuries.

On television, an eyewitness said with her husband on the sixth floor of the building. They had heard a loud bang and initially thought it was an earthquake. “Parts fell from the elevator at the top, and there were broken glass on every floor,” she said TVBS News.
