The terrorist organization of Palestinian Islamic Jihad published a video before the announced release of the hostages. In it, Alexander (Sascha) Truferanov can be seen in sporting clothes how he goes along the sea, holds a fish bar, eating something, throws a stone into the water and writes a letter. The 29-year-old looks well-fed and healthy. When the video was recorded, it was not announced.
The video must clearly suggest how good Trufanov was treated by the Islamists. The three Israeli hostages released last Saturday, on the other hand, were in such a bad health that US President Donald Trump eventually demanded the release of all hostages until Saturday afternoon.
The three pale, emaciated and visibly weakened men were demonstrated by Hamas on a stage before handing over to the international committee to the Red Cross (IKRK).
Truferanov, who also has Russian citizenship, will be released on Saturday together with Sagui Dekel-Schen (36) and Jair Horn (46). The Islamist Hamas has announced their release.
Trump: “Response depends on Israel”
