Washington -crash – Was Gedempte Microorzaak van accident?

Date:

More than two weeks after the deadly aircraft accident in Washington with a total of 67 deaths, the researchers presented the first research results on the possible cause of the crash.

As the US Transport Security Authority NTSB announced Friday, incorrect instruments and communication problems could have been the reason for the collision of the passenger jet and the military helicopter. The last conclusion of the investigation can therefore take up to a year.

Air traffic controllers warned the helicopter pilot
The first findings suggested that air traffic control had a warning for the helicopter pilots a few minutes before the accident, said NTSB boss Jennifer Homendy. The pilots would have warned the helicopter team of the “circular” passenger machine.

However, the data from the wreck of the helicopter showed that the message was steamed and that the word “circular” (circular; note) was incomprehensible. According to Homanendy, the voice recorder of the helicopter does not seem to have included the crucial instructions to avoid the process of the passenger machine seconds before the collision.

Microphone could have been a source of errors
On both archives of the mood, a radio message from the air traffic control was heard 17 seconds that would fly past the passenger plane, Homedy said.

The speech recorder data of the helicopter indicated that this decisive part of the radio saying may not have been received at all. Accordingly, it seems that the microphone button on the helicopter’s radio device was being filled in during communication with air traffic controllers.

Collection on the landing approach
The passenger plane collided with the military helicopter at the end of January when I approached Reagan Airport in Washington. Both machines dived into the river Potomac. The 64 prisoners and the three -personal crew of the helicopter were killed.
