In Munich, an 82 -year -old woman was injured with a lift in a serious accident. The woman had fallen when she wanted to go into the lift. Before she could get up, the cabin suddenly drove up and got stuck between two floors.
In the accident, her upper body was caught on the top floor, while her legs were between the cabin and the shaft, the “Faz” reported. According to the fire brigade, the woman’s husband was already in the cabin and immediately pressed the emergency button.
The elevator started open despite the door
As “T-Online” reports, the accident took place on Monday afternoon in Riesstrasse in Munich. The woman stumbled in the second basement when she wanted to enter the lift. Despite the door open, the lift drove unexpectedly and stopped about 40 centimeters before the first basement. As a result, her upper body was caught in the first and her legs in the second basement.
The rescue was difficult. The fire brigade initially tried in vain to expand the gap between the cabin and the shaft. The 82-year-old remained attractive in the meantime, but suffered serious leg injuries and lost a lot of blood.
Brandbrigade grabbed unusual measure
To free them, the emergency services decided an unusual measure: they boarded the cabin to lower them by the extra weight. The woman was put under anesthesia and supported from below with a spine.
After about 40 minutes, the 82-year-old was finally released and taken to a hospital. Her husband was served psychologically. The police have investigated the cause of the accident.
