Spectacular accident in the night of Tuesday in the Tyroolean Unterland: a drunk driver lost control of his car in St. Johann (District Kitzbühel), with which it came off the street and fell into the Fieberbrunner Ache. There it came to a halt in the water on the roof. The driver and his two companions left light.
The fatal accident took place shortly before midnight. The 27-year-old Portuguese traveled with a car with a license plate for home in St. Johann van Oberhofenweg to the parisher road Almdorf when he suddenly lost control of the car in a curve.
Lying on the roof in the icy water
“The car passed the side of the road, lost contact with the ground and was eventually thrown into the Fieberbrunner Ache, where the water lay down in the water, the police said.
There were two other Portuguese in the auto-a young woman (19) and a 24-year-old man. “All three passengers could free themselves independently or mutually or among themselves from the crashed vehicle,” the researchers continued. While the two men got away with the horror and remained unharmed, the 19-year-old light injuries suffered from the knee.
Alkotest on the steering wheel positive
So the accident went out fairly light. However, an alkotest performed by the steering wheel was positive.
Total damage was caused by the car. It was protected by the fire brigade and recovered with the help of a towing company.
